CLAY: How Hard Can It Be?

Canadian Clay Symposium 2026

The Canadian Clay Symposium offers the ceramics community the opportunity to gather and celebrate the diversity of work being created across Canada. Ceramics enthusiasts at all levels of confidence will experience an entire day of in-depth conversation with peers and presenters. Watch exceptional demos ranging from hand building, wheel throwing, slip casting, surface decoration, and atmospheric firing, all with an eye to investigate how clay is shaped by diverse Canadian experiences.

The presenters are Vin Arora, Lael Chmelyk, Grace Han and Jai Sallay-Carrington.

In connection with the symposium, pre and post event activities include expanded workshops with the presenters at various locations throughout the province, as well as exhibits within the lower mainland.
